Plot: Jennifer (Natasha Henstridge) and her husband Paul (Lukas Hassel) have just moved into their dream home, excited to have a place they can call their own. The house was involved in an odd fire a few years ago, but despite that little unpleasantness, the couple are thrilled to have their own home. After all, they can replace the furnace and the fix-it man might be creepy, but he knows what he is doing. But unknown to the happy pair, the basement holds more than just a temperamental furnace. Soon after they move in, both begin to experience unusual sexual experiences and increased appetite, as a paranormal force lurks in the basement. What starts off as odd little moments, such as Jennifer humping the washing machine soon take a darker turn, as the force starts to take over their lives. Can they fend off the demonic advances and reclaim their lives, or is it already too late?

Entertainment Value: A movie about a demonic presence that unleashes sexual depravity on an unsuspecting couple? The Black Room is just that, a fun movie about a sexual demon that is loaded with off the wall moments. The narrative is simple enough, as a couple is under the control of a demon with a lot of sexual energies, but…well, I guess that’s all. But that’s enough. The cast here is impressive, with Natasha Henstridge, Lin Shaye, Tiffany Shepis, and Dominique Swain all on deck, but Henstridge manages to steal the show. Her scene where she grinds on a washing machine, then takes a soap load to the face and tits is a true cinematic highlight. Lukas Hassel is also fun to watch as the incubus possessed husband, who brings immense sleaze to the table and is just a slimy, creepy dude. This one is just a lot of fun, with good old school style practical effects and a dark sense of humor. But where The Black Room shines is outlandish moments that mostly revolve around sex, which makes sense, as this is about an incubus. If you’re a fan of demonic horror, sexual possession, or just like well crafted horror movies, you should check this one out.

This one has a lot of sex and sexual content, but not as much nakedness as you might expect. A few topless scenes pop up and they’re wonderful, especially one that involves nipples being tweaked by an unseen force. Oh and there’s the totally naked, totally hot demon chick, who shows off her breasts, ass, and vivacious camel toe, so yeah, some fun nakedness here. The bloodshed is rampant and while some CGI present, most of the effects are practical and quite fun to watch. This includes a wild scene where a demonic tentacle invades a goth girl’s womb and probes so deep, it comes out of her mouth and rips off her lower face. Another bright spot is when a porn cliche between a masturbating woman and a repairman turns horrific, with the guy getting his head slammed repeatedly by the door to the dryer. But those are just a couple of the scenes of gore here, plenty of blood and other bodily fluids. Also some nice makeup and creature effects, great stuff! The dialogue is passable, with most of the best lines given to our incubus possessed husband, who brings a nice level of sleaze to the movie. The visiting goth girl sister has some humorous moments as well, but mostly this one belongs to the incubus. As for craziness, yeah this one has ample wackiness around every corner. So much sexual mayhem, with spontaneous orgasms, demonic penis enlargement, the incubus using the force to both choke a waiter and finger a waitress, and that’s just the start.
