Plot: Karl, also known as K. the Butcher Shitter, has been locked up for twenty years after he slaughtered his own mother with a meat cleaver. While behind bars, his violent tendencies only escalated and when he is transported to another prison, he manages to escape. Now on the loose, Karl unleashes a torrent of horrific violent upon everyone who is unlucky enough to cross his path. He has a new cleaver, but he doesn’t limit himself to just his signature blade, of course. As he carves a blood soaked trail of dismembered victims, can anyone stop Karl’s march of death?

Entertainment Value: As you can tell from the synopsis, Violent Shit doesn’t have a deep, complex narrative. It does live up to the title however, giving us a wealth of low rent, but super fun violence from start to finish. The story just follows Karl as he lays waste to anyone he meets, while we’re shown strange visions of an evil that may or may not be driving his violent spree. The result is a series of brutal set pieces that showcase some wild gore and violence. As I said, this is a low rent movie so the effects aren’t like realistic, but they’re insanely fun to watch. And given the resources involved, the sheer volume of effects is quite remarkable. I’ll talk more about the gore later, but you’ll see a wide scope of creative violence with literal geysers of blood involved. Outside of the gore, Violent Shit doesn’t have a lot to offer, but given the film’s focus and intent, that isn’t a concern. This wasn’t designed as a rich tapestry of storytelling, it was made to pump tons of blood and deliver epic levels of gore. And on that front, it succeeds and is a must see for splatter fans.

Aside from some prosthetic genitals, no nakedness here. But we do see both penis and vagina mutilated beyond belief, in graphic detail. The blood here is frequent and thick, with over the top gore like few films can deliver on. You’ll see dismemberment, heads chopped off, hands chopped off, someone is literally carved in half, and trust me, these are just some of the atrocities you will witness. All of the violent is accompanied by huge gushing fountains of blood, like ridiculous levels of crimson geysers. The scene where the vagina is annihilated by a knife is sure to cross some legs, same with the penis being hacked off. As if all this and more wasn’t enough, we even see a guy tear himself apart and then that finale, damn. As promised, this is indeed some violent shit. There’s not a lot of dialogue in this one, but when there is, I found it to be humorous. The tone is wacky in the writing in the dialogue, so it produces some off the wall lines. As for craziness, the finale alone earns some solid points, let alone the insane levels of blood and graphic gore on showcase. Add in the odd religious visions and Violent Shit is quite an off the rails tale at times.
