Plot: Mr. Mari is a man who loves to help people, with a keen focus on helping young women in troubled situations. Mari is a millionaire who opens his heart to these poor young girls, who find themselves in all kinds of mischief, bad luck, or just plain bad decision making. One girl might just need some heroin to help her forget her woes, another finds herself in trouble with bookies, and perhaps one just wants to make sure her blind, lesbian lover stays faithful. Whatever the issues, Mari splashes out the cash and makes sure those problems vanish. Some might consider Mari to be a saint, as much as he helps these girls solve their problems. But who is Mr. Mari really and what are his true motivations?

Entertainment Value: This one has a minimalist narrative, but it does deliver a lot of naked flesh and a fun, memorable finale. Mr. Mari’s Girls centers on Mr. Mari and his girl, much as the title suggests. He uses his wealth and connections to help them out, but we don’t learn about what drives his kindness until the conclusion. So we get a little backstory about each girl and how Mari helps, then at the end, we’re thrown for a wild curveball that closes the movie in style. Aside from the twist finish, this film boasts some solid visuals. The black & white cinematography is head and shoulders above most of this genre, so it is a good selling point that helps it stand out. The cast is passable, but mostly just there to strip down and provide some eye candy. At about an hour in length, the movie does what it can to wedge in all kinds of bad girl mayhem, so it never runs slow or dull. I’d say this one is going to appeal to fans of roughie type exploitation, but the end is worth the time to anyone interested in odd cinema.

This one has a lot of girls and a lot of breasts, as the naked flesh is the main draw for Mr. Mari’s Girls. Naked housewife, naked lesbian, naked blind chick, naked painting, naked studying, its all naked all the time here. Ample breasts and bare asses, so the movie comes through in this department. This is a roughie, so things get a little rough at times, but nothing graphic or overly violent. The finale ups the violence a little, but its still on the tame side. No blood, however. The dialogue has some bright spots, but not a steady flow of memorable lines. But you can cherry pick some real gems, so this one earns a couple points. On the crazy scale, we have an eccentric millionaire who funds abortions and performs deceptive lesbian weddings, so that’s a start. The finale also earns some points, so while not insane, this one does have its moments.
